Samoa has first woman Supreme Court justice

Samoa’s first woman Supreme Court judge, Justice Ida Malosi, was sworn in this week by the Head of State, Tui Atua Tupua Tamasese Efi.Justice Malosi was the first Samoan woman to become a judge in New Zealand.Talamua Online reports the chief executive of Justice, Masinalupe Tusipa Masinalupe, saying she will work for three months on the Supreme Court.Judge Malosi, who was born in New Zealand, says she is undertaking the work in Samoa because the Head of State told her the country needed her service.
