Friends and family tell me their hearts are broken. The man was home from college for the holidays. While police look for the shooter, the community is coming together to remember a 21-year-old man who touched many lives.

“He’s larger than life. He’s very impactful in our community. Huge in our community,” said Sharon Tafia, a close family friend.

At 6’2” and about 300 pounds, Leuea Loto made a big impression in his Samoan community.

The head football coach at Mt. Rainier High said Loto was an amazing kid with a big heart.

He graduated in 2015 and went on to play football at college of San Mateo in Northern California. Someone shot Loto on Thanksgiving Day.

Police say that two groups of people met up at the Mt. Rainier High School to play football. Then a fight broke out. Detectives are still searching for at least one person.
