Las Vegas, NEVADA — Fans of Hawaiian plate lunches and Samoan specialties have a new destination in southeast Vegas to sample ono “island favorites.”

Right on schedule, Opulicious Poke has slotted into the 1,350-square-foot former home of Shoku Ramen-ya at the Windmill Lane Plaza, close to the intersection with Bermuda Road.

Avoiding an already trademarked name, Aloha Poke chose not to use the moniker of its original, four-year-old casual restaurant in Waianae, located on the far west side of Hawai‘i.

Sitting next to the future home of Juicy Burgers, itself a replacement for the shuttered Bachi Burger, Opulicious Poke is still working to expand its menu, but updating its current roster of choices with daily specials.

Currently available, poke nachos, salmon with crab, the $11.99 fish and fries, a $14.99 steak and shrimp options, the $12.99 Aloha poke bowls, ahi katsu, and wasabi salmon.

Recent specials have included beef stew, or lu’au, crab wonton and steak and asparagus. Yet to update its opening hours, the informal space has been serving from noon until 8 p.m.
