Hit and Run driver leaves pregnant woman in hospital

Papatoetoe Auckland, NEW ZEALAND — A crash on Papatoetoe’s Kolmar Rd involving three vehicles has left a Samoan couple expecting their first child in hospital with injuries.

The crash left two cars badly damaged and it’s passengers transferred to Middlemore hospital, while the third vehicle is said to have sped off, failing to stop after allegedly causing the accident.

The parents of the couple said that their children were still in Middlemore hospital tonight and they are praying for their kids recovery.

“They are still in hospital.”

“It’s their first baby so we hope baby is alright.”

“It’s sad cos it’s the innocent people that always get hurt.”

Tow trucks cleared the roads at about 11.30pm –  almost an hour after the crash on Friday night in South Auckland.
