Raynor Whitcombe, American Samoa’s son has made the cut to compete in Los Angeles, California in February in the Bodyspace spokesmodel competition.

Whitcombe is one of many bodybuilding enthusiasts from all over the country who tried out for a spot to be the next Bodyspace Spokesmodel. Last month, he sought the community’s help in getting him selected by voting for him online.

Today on his Facebook page he posted his success and thank yous to his supporters.

“Thank you Lord for this blessing & @bodybuildingcom for this opportunity to go up against the best!! Congrats to all the finalists who made it . Thank you to all those who voted me in and trusted that I can be your next spokesmodel.

Tagged as “Kingaden”, Whitcombe is currently living in Colorado. He is from the villages of Petesa and Pavaiai “and “very proud to represent American Samoa and my Poly people in this competition.”

When asked about his future goals, Whitcombe said he aims to “be in more competitions, to inspire my Poly people to get fit and healthy, and show our people that bodybuilding is more than just a sport. It's a lifestyle of being fit, healthy, and aware of what we should be eating. It's about taking care of our bodies and overcoming preventable diseases such as obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease.”

He concluded, “I hope that my hard work and dedication to such a lifestyle will help others change to living a healthier and happier life.”
