Price of gas goes down —MUCHO

As we head into the holiday season, gasoline prices in American Samoa are going down, while the wholesale price of all other petroleum products will increase. The new maximum allowable price (MAP), or wholesale price of petroleum products is being released tomorrow by the Office of Petroleum Management (OPM).The new MAP will have gasoline at $3.73 per gallon, a decrease of 15 cents per gallon, said Kava, which means the new retail price for gasoline goes down as well. As of yesterday the average gasoline price was about $4.30 per gallon in the territory.The average price in Hawai'i yesterday was $4.11 per gallon, while the national average was at $3.32, according to the website, hawaiigasprices.com.
