In Samoa News, Tuesday, January 24, 2017 issue, the article, “Report says territory’s population lives paycheck to paycheck”, mistakenly reported that the Household Income and Expenditures Survey (HIES) estimated “the population increase… (a gain of 383 persons everyday) or an annual growth rate of 70%. This is more reasonable than the 0.3% annual growth rate after the 2010 census.”

It should have read: “…an annual growth rate of 0.7%. This is more reasonable than the -0.3% annual growth rate after the 2010 census.”
