LITTLE LEAGUE BASEBALL’S SUMMER PROGRAM ENDS TODAY

Over 200 children, boys and girls ages 4-15 were featured in this year’s Little League Baseball Summer Program, that began six weeks ago and ends today.

In partnership with the Department of Parks and Recreation, the American Samoa Baseball Association (ASBA) in the past six weeks conducted its annual Summer Program, featuring new and old players who were able to take part in this year’s program.

According to a press release from the ASBA, many returning players as well as new baseball athletes joined the program, and their outstanding performance in the field prove the point that the sport of baseball is still developing at the school level.

“Every year, the Little League Baseball Program is conducted as a community summer program under the Department of Parks and Recreation and for the past four years, teams have been entered through village clubs that are led and coached by community volunteers,” the press release says.
