Fredrick Mauigoa [THS] invited to Nike competition

Tafuna High School football player Fredrick Mauigoa recently attended one of the Nike Football Opening Regional camps at the University of Oregon with other American Samoan players. The Nike Football Opening Regionals are the only national camps that offer athletes state of the art education in both Nike Football Training and position specific football from respected position coaches.  They improve each player that attends, and do all of this free of cost to attendees.

 

Top performers by position from the Regional’s nationwide, as well as other top prospects evaluated on tape, were invited to to compete amongst the nations top 150 players at the 5th Annual ‘Opening Finals’ which is a four day event that will include the Nike 70N, Nike Elite Linemen and Nike Football Rating National Championship competitors.

 

Standing at 6 foot 4 inches and weighing in at 295lbs, the Offensive Lineman Mauigoa was able to impress the coaches enough to be invited to ‘The Opening Finals’ which will be at the Nike World Headquarters located in Beaverton, Oregon from July 5-10.

 

Mauigoa has already had offers from UNLV, Washington State University, University of Hawaii and Oregon State among others, and is expected to be one of the top 2016 football prospects out of American Samoa.
