Notre Dame football fans plan to show their aloha for Manti Te'o at today's game against Michigan.

Te'o, an All-American senior linebacker from Laie, inspired fans and his teammates last week by playing in the team's upset victory over Michigan State despite the deaths of both his grandmother and his girlfriend earlier in the week.

To show their appreciate, and in a nod to his Hawaii roots, Fighting Irish fans have organized "Wear a Lei for Manti," according to media reports from South Bend, Ind. WSBT.com reported Friday that thousands of fans are expected to wear lei to tonight's game in South Bend.

About 7,500 lei were handed out to fans at a Friday pep rally and another 10,000 donated lei are expected to be handed out at the game, according to the report.
