Students arrested over brawl at Apia market

Four students were taken into Police custody on Friday afternoon after a brawl broke out at the Savalalo Market. A Senior Officer at the Ministry of Police who is not authorised to speak the media confirmed this yesterday. He did not say which schools were involved.“No one was injured,” he said. “The police officers quickly arrived at the bus terminal to control the violence and they took away four students.” According to the officer, the incident showed that students have not learnt a lesson from previous years.“It’s disappointing,” he said. “So much is being said about students and the need for them to behave and yet this is continuing.”“After the students were taken in, we contacted their parents to come and see us. We talked to them before we released their children to go with them.”
