There is a call going out to all of the male volleyballers on island to come and tryout for the American Samoa Men's National Volleyball team that will be competing in the 2015 Pacific Games this coming July 4-18 in Papua New Guinea.

“The tryouts will be this coming Saturday January 24 at 12:00 p.m. at the American Samoa Community College gymnasium,” said Head Coach of the American Samoa Men's National Volleyball team, Ben Sauvao.

“We are going to be looking very carefully for the most talented and qualified players to represent our country. As soon as find them, we will be working with them diligently to get them ready,” he explained. He said that there is no age limit. “If you've got the talent and skill, we want to work with you to be part of the team,” he said. “I know that there are a lot of good players here on island. I hope they come out Saturday to try out for the team,” he said.

The Assistant Coach for the American Samoa Mens National Volleyball team will be Peni Tautunuafatasi.

Samoa News will provide the latest updates on the American Samoa Men's National Volleyball team and their quest to compete in the 2015 Pacific Games.

The American Samoa Women’s National Volleyball team will be led by Head Coach Tumua Matu’u. Samoa News will be reporting on the women’s team in the near future.
