There were close to 40 high school student athletes, most along with their parents,  who attended the College Prep for Athletes Workshop yesterday morning at the Department of Youth and Women’s Affairs (DYWA) Office in Utulei at the Executive Office Building.

Annually hosted by the DYWA, American Samoa Department of Education Career and Guidance Counseling and the Department of Athletics Office, the workshop is intended to educate the student athletes, along with their parents, on how to better understand the process their child will go through to take advantage of the athletic and academic opportunities that many of the student athletes have here on island.
