"We suffered some injuries from the Oceania Sevens games last week, but so far the guys have been training hard and are looking forward to the upcoming games. They are excited to be playing against some big name players in rugby and the game time and experience gained from these games will certainly go a long way in the development of Rugby in American Samoa."

The one thing that forever stirs my heart when I am traveling with or am around the American Samoa Talavalu Rugby team is the moment when they bow down in prayer. Whether it be before a training session, before a big game, before the team meetings, before a meal, no matter the person behind the prayer, the passion and purpose of the prayer along with the togetherness of the team moves you to the core at the power of being one in God.

The sincerity shines through and the heartfelt plea for help and wisdom along with well-being is moving. God most definitely listens to prayers, answers prayers, and moves in response to prayers. I have never heard the team ask outright for a 'WIN", but always for the Good Lord to be with them and to protect them from harm.
