It was about three years ago that Howard Helg and the incorporators of Plaza Department Stores introduced the fruity-tasting herb-based energy drink to the territory and since then, Liquid Nitro has developed a following that includes people of all ages.

But the competition is stiff, with other lower end energy drinks also being sold in the territory. However, Helg tells the Samoa News that they have established a customer base with regulars showing up to buy the drinks on a weekly - even daily - basis.

Liquid Nitro comes in different sizes and formulas, with the most popular ones being the male enhancement drink and the lean drink, used regularly by those who are dieting and want to stay healthy while losing weight.

The Liquid Nitro shooters have received such rave reviews that athletes, and people from all walks of life are buying it up. Every year during the Flag Day fautasi races, Helg donates cases of energy shooters to the crew members of the Pago Pago Aeto team, “just to give them a boost of energy,” he said, adding that Liquid Nitro is made of a special formula based more on fruits and herbs than chemicals, as is the case with other energy drinks on the market.

Liquid Nitro can be purchased at different retailers on island, including the Drug Store, Avenia Bros., KS Mart, ABC Fax in Fagatogo and Gold Conda in Fagaalu. Helg says they supply about 30 different stores in the territory so chances are, you can find Liquid Nitro in one of the stores near you.

“The feedback has been quite good,” said Helg when asked about the response from people who have tried Liquid Nitro.

With the increase in the number of people trying to diet and stay healthy, the Liquid Nitro lean drink is the beverage of choice for them, in that it suppresses the appetite and has no side effects.

“This particular drink helps people lose weight and stay healthy at the same time,” Helg said.
