PAGO YOUTH RALLY DRAWS 1,000 YOUTH TO WHAT WILL BE ANNUAL EVENT

The second annual Pago Pago Youth Rally that took place last Saturday kicked off with a parade through the village with plenty of fun and games at the Pago Park where all of the festivities took place that included games and different types of competition.

There were close to 1,000 youth from the Pago area that came out along with those from different churches, local businesses and government agencies to support, teach and help lead the young to a path where they will grow into good productive citizens.

Many parents who were on hand said that this was a great way to allow their children to socialize with other children and learn new things that can benefit them in the future.

Pago Pago Faipule Representative Vaamua Henry Sesepasara said that this Youth Rally will be a annual event for the youth of Pago Pago.

“This program was initiated by all of the reverends and faifeau’s of village. They initiated this program to bring all of the youth of Pago Pago together to celebrate Labor Day and at the same time, get the kids to meet and know one another and learn to get along and work together,” said Vaamua.
