PAUL'S PERFORMANCE AT RADIO CITY POSTPONED DUE TO MILITARY DUTY

Paul Ieti's performance at Radio City Music Hall has been postponed to Aug. 11 after military obligations took precedence. Read the exclusive interview with his mother in tomorrow's issue.

American Samoa’s very own Paul Ieti will be performing his first musical selection at Radio City Music Hall later this month, after making the cut and beating out hundreds of other competitors for a chance to win the grand prize of $1 million on America’s Got Talent.

A soldier in the US Army, Ieti is the son of Maua and Akenese Ieti of Aoa and he is one of the performers set to take center stage Aug 11.

The event can be viewed on Channel 5.

Last week, on national television, an emotional Ieti said he wants nothing more than “Just to see my mom smile at me.” He said he will always carry — with pride — American Samoa and his family name, and thanked everyone for their prayers and support.

He said no matter what happens, “To God be the glory!”

FOR THOSE WONDERING ABOUT HOW TO VOTE

Paul says on his Facebook page, “When the time comes where I perform live, to vote, Google search AGT or http://nbc.com/AGTVOTE

“I am prepared and have been practicing my butt off. I will give it another shot with all I have but I can't do it alone.

“Team Paul to the top. Let’s do this.”
