Top four FFAS teams race heads to the final turn

The race for the four playoff spots in the men’s 2014 FFAS 7-A-Side league makes the final turn this Saturday with a very heated battle for the coveted positions.

Utulei Youth made the biggest jump with a 7-spot leap from No. 11 to No. 4.  They are the only new team in the top four of the standings that itself has a new facelift.

That new facelift has two teams moving up one spot each with FC SKBC now at No. 1 and Lion Heart right behind them.  PanSa, the previous top seeded team, fell down two spots from No. 1 to No. 3.

Teams within striking distance of the top four are No. 5 Tafuna Jets and No. 6 Green Bay while others with long shots are No. 7 Atu’u Broncos, No. 8 Vaiala Tongan and No. 9 Ilaoa & To’omata.

Utulei Youth are the small-sided champions of 2013 and are giving themselves a shot at trying to defend their Futsal title.

The playoffs and championship game are scheduled for May 31.
