“LINES AND MORE LINES”
Dear Editor:
It seems that I can't get away from lines everywhere I go on this Rock anymore. The latest is the line at L.B.J.
I had some trouble with my knee and big toe and called LBJ for advice but their lines were busy and after several tries I decided to call LBJ's parent organization, the Weather Station.
They were very polite and after I explained how my knee and toe pains were hurting me they made a quick diagnosis of kneemonia and toemain poisoning but said I should make an appointment with LBJ's Primary Care, which I immediately did.
I arrived for the appointment but the Primary Care was packed out to the street. So, another long line of fifty or so non-resident patients sent over from the Emergency Room on a first-come-first-serve basis.
In a previous letter I stated that our healthcare is now in the hands of a weatherman and guessed that was better than a plumber or taxi driver, but now — I’m not so sure!
