Video: AYFS Football Week No. 3 in the books

This past Saturday at the Veterans Memorial Stadium was the continuation of the ongoing American Youth Football of Samoa (AYFS) League, with a scheduled triple header to entertain the fans and supporters with a full day of football.

Right now, it’s too soon to determine which teams are climbing the top polls of rank for this year, as the majority of the teams competing this year are all top-notch trained.

Opening up competition on Saturday were the Steelers who played their third game of the season against the Cowboys, and who came into this game with a 1 - 1 record, but the Steelers collected their second loss of the season after a 48 - 0 defeat in favor of the Cowboys.

The second game of the day was very well handled by the 49ers, they beat the Chargers in a blowout of 64 - 6. For the Chargers — lemons to lemonade — they celebrated their first touchdown of the season since the league opened three weeks ago. As of now, the Niners are leading the polls as the top scoring team in a game.

The last match of the day was considered the main event of Saturday’s scheduled triple header with the Bears and the Falcons, two of the toughest contestants in this year’s season. The game was so intense it concluded in a draw, with a 20 - 20 score in full time of this competitive match.

As of now, the Bears are riding the season with a 1 - 1 - 1 record, and the Falcons roam undefeated with a tie to their record of 3 - 1 - 0.
