Samoan born MP becomes NZ Minister of Pacific Affairs

New Zealand's ruling National Party has appointed it's first Minister of Pacific Affairs of Pacific background.He's Maugakiekie MP Peseta Sam Lotu-Iiga, who also takes over as associate Local Government minister.He replaces Hekia Parata in the job, and although a minister, he remains outside Cabinet.Mr Lotu-Iiga, who was born in Samoa but emigrated with his family at the age of three, tells Bruce Hill it's good that a Pacific Island person is in charge of the portfolio.Presenter: Bruce HillSpeaker: New Zealand's newly-appointed Minister of Pacific Island Affairs, Peseta Sam Lotu-Iiga
