10 to take part in Miss South Pacific pageant in Solomons

Women from 10 countries have been confirmed to arrive in Honiara next week to participate in the 2013 Carpenters’ Miss South Pacific Pageant.It is the first time Solomon Islands has hosted the event and organisers are very happy with the level of response.The participating countries are Fiji, Samoa, American Samoa, Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea, Cook Islands, Tonga, Tokelau, Autearoa and our own Carpenters’ Miss Solomon Islands – Tema Wickham.With a little over a week until the Carpenters’ Miss South Pacific Pageant begins, organisers are getting very excited about the imminent arrivals from our neighbouring nations.The pageant takes place from 1-7 December and features an international pageant float parade on 5 December, several corporate functions and culminates in the Crowning Gala.The Crowning Gala takes place at Pacific Paradise, Pacific Casino Hotel on Saturday 7 December and a limited number of standing room only tickets are being offered to the general public.
