OTC "fat burning pill" sold locally as sex booster
An over the counter (OTC) pharmaceutical known as “Grenade” was among the items confiscated at the Tafuna Correctional Facility during a surprise shakedown last week conducted by Vice & Narcotics and the Criminal Investigation Division. Although the website for Grenade says it’s a weight loss product, a reliable source told Samoa News that it is being marketed locally on the street as a sexual enhancement pill.
Samoa News understands this item was sold inside the jail to inmates and it has also been illicitly sold on the street for a while. The confiscated Grenade pills have been sent off island to a drug lab in Hawaii for analysis.
According to the Grenade website, Grenade pills are considered to be a thermogenic formula that assists in losing fat while also building up muscles, which is why this product is very commonly used by fitness buffs. Thermogenic means tending to produce heat, and the term is commonly applied to drugs which increase heat through metabolic stimulation. There is no verifiable scientific research or clinical data to back up the efficacy of the product.
With the high amount of stimulants in this weight loss product, it is very dangerous for regular consumption especially by those who have serious health conditions such as people with a history of seizures, heart attacks, strokes, hypertension or diabetes.
The dosage should also be considered, because not only can stimulants themselves cause health risks but your safety and health are also at risk if too many stimulants are taken in a 24-hour period.
"There is not a single risk to which you may be exposed when using this fat burner" is stated on the product’s official website and on the bottle labels. Whatdietpills.com, an independent reviewer of diet products says there is no proof that Grenade Fat Burner is safe for your health and wellbeing.
