Hawaii police open attempted murder case after Pearl City shooting

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) — Honolulu Police Department officials opened an attempted murder case early Friday morning after a 21-year-old man was shot in Pearl City.

The incident was reported at around 12:40 a.m. near the Winnerz Zone on Kamehameha Highway.

Paramedics say the male victim was taken to the hospital and treated for his injuries. He is now listed in stable condition.

A Hawaii News Now crew at the scene of the shooting observed what appeared to be blood on the outside of a car involved in the investigation.

Police have released few details about the case, but say they have not yet arrested a suspect in connection with the shooting.
