Video: UB40 sells Samoa in new music video

Thousands of reggae music lovers all over the world are now able to catch a glimpse of Samoa thanks to popular United Kingdom reggae band, UB40.The band, which toured Samoa as part of the country’s 50th Independence celebrations last yearhas released their latest music video called “Blue Eyes Crying in the rain.”The four-minute video features Samoa extensively.It shows members of the group arriving in Samoa and meeting with fans here.It showcases Samoan dances as well as shots of Apia and the meetings they had in the villages where one of the band members is drinking ava.It also features Aggie Grey’s Beach Resort, where they stayed, as well as the concert at Apia Park, arguably the biggest concert in the history of Samoa.The concert was sponsored by Bluesky Samoa Ltd with a host of other sponsors.“Blue Eyes Crying” was composed by Willie Nelson in October 1975.
