Locals train as Child Passenger Safety instructors

The participants of the Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) instructor course currently underway in Honolulu, Hawai’i.

 

The participants were on hand at Kapiolani Medical Center to educate expectant mothers and parents on the proper way to install a car seat, the safest place in the car to put a car seat, and the most effective way to use a car seat.

 

OHS Program Director Fred Scanlan told the Samoa News last week this is the first time any locals have been selected to undergo training to be CPST instructors. Upon their return next week, the trio will have completed 25% of the overall requirements to become certified CPST instructors.
