Sven was a master wood carver and faithful family man, also a strong man of faith. Sven developed his carving and artistic skills in Fiji under care of Religious Sisters who assisted him with a health problem. Among the things he carved for the Holy Family Cathedral are our 14 Stations of the Cross, the Holy Family Grouping and later the Nativity.

The dwelling place of God among us is symbolized in places of worship built by our own labor.
