Inter Island Air proposes lease-purchase of Sega’ula

Inter Island Airways’ revised and final proposal for the lease to purchase of the ASG aircraft “Sega’ula” was the subject of a meeting late last week between Gov. Lolo Matalasi Moliga and Inter Island’s senior official Barney Sene.

 

Details on the meeting’s outcome held in Honolulu last Friday morning was not immediately known over the weekend.

 

Prior to the meeting, the governor’s executive assistant Iulogologo Joseph Pereira did tell Samoa News that Lolo’s meeting with Sene was to focus on the airline’s revised and final proposal sent to the Governor for service to Ofu using the Sega'ula  plane.

 

“The gist of the proposal is to lease to purchase the Segaula after a period of use,” said Iulogologo via e-mail from Honolulu late last week responding to Samoa News inquiries.

 

While in Honolulu, the governor also met with diplomats of the Japanese and Korean consulates discussing a wide range of issues dealing with tourism develop with the hope of attracting visitors from these two Asian countries to the territory.
