New resorts for Samoa

Based on arrival cards for 2012, Samoa says leisure arrivals were up 20.4 per cent and business travel 24.2 per cent.

Australia generated an increase of more than 25 per cent in leisure travel and 29 per cent for business.

Adele Leathan of Samoa Tourism Authority Australia said Samoa is on the cusp of more growth, with more Australians discovering Samoa as an emerging destination and all the unique experiences it has to offer.

Growth already has sparked new developments in Samoa, including plans for a new wharf and an airport under consideration while new resorts include the 4.5 star Aga Reef Resort, Saletoga Sands Resort and Spa and Return to Paradise Beach Resort, on schedule to open its doors in later this year.
