Yesterday, a special ceremony took place at the Fale Samoa in Utulei, where the Lions Club of Pago Pago, in collaboration with ANZ- Amerika Samoa Bank, presented a newly painted and refurbished mobile van to the community.
The van, which has been outfitted for vision screening and examination courtesy of Fletcher construction, was the brainchild of Lions president Isabel Hudson, who asked ANZ if the Lions could make use of the mobile unit for their annual Eye Care projects.
Lt. Governor Mauga was on hand for the event, along with government, business and community leaders, who share the Lions vision of service.
Van graphics were donated by All Star Signs.
