First ASG day of service a success

Department of Public Safety Commissioner William Haleck accompanied by Detective Sgt Foma’i Paepule in Matu’u and Faganeanea as part of the ASG departments and agencies clean up project last week, Thursday starting from Ili’ili to Leloaloa from 10a.m. to 2p.m. to clean up and beautify the roadside.

DPS participated in the ASG Clean Up, where more than 50 police officers were seen near the road cleaning, while other police officers were on duty were patrolling the main highway and responding to disturbances calls. The clean up was a directive by Gov. Lolo Matalasi Moliga to all government departments to participate in the pre-Easter 3-day weekend project.

Samoa News will be running photo pages of the Clean-Up, which was a highly successful event — allowing the community to enjoy a beautiful Easter weekend!

Malo lava and a big fa’afetai goes out to all who participated, with the hope that people in our community will be supportive of our government’s efforts and KEEP SAMOA CLEAN.
