McDONALD'S MISS SOUTH PACIFIC INTRODUCES MISS COOK ISLANDS

Kia Orana kotou katoatoa.

Born and raised on the island of Mangaia, the oldest and most southern island in the Cook Islands, I am the baby of the family of four children.

My loving parents taught me the value of discipline and the importance of holding on to, and being proud of, my home and my culture. Being school teachers they have instilled in me the importance of a good education. I am indeed fortunate to have a wonderful sister who adores her baby sister and two very protective big brothers.

I attended Oneroa Primary School and Mangaia College on the island of Mangaia, and completed my secondary school studies at Tereroa College on the main island of Rarotonga.

Currently employed by Cook Islands News as a graphic designer and layout artist I am working towards saving up enough finances to further my education at University and studying towards a degree in Pacific Studies and Tourism.

Reading, creative writing and creative graphic design are my hobbies. I love my culture and am passionate about Cook Islands cultural dancing. I am excited and looking forward to meeting the beautiful women from around the Pacific who will have the honour of representing their country at this year’s Miss South Pacific Pageant.

Kia manuia.
