Samoa's PM urges caution with guns

Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi is urging members of the public to be extra careful about the handling of guns. The warning comes after a spike in the number of gun-related incidents in the country.During an interview with the Samoa Observer, Tuilaepa said a number of incidents were the result of the lack of care. He said gun owners should always exercise caution especially so that their family members are protected.“If you look at those gun problems, it involves people that were stupid and the things that happened were caused by carelessness,” said the Prime Minister.“So what can I say for being careless? If a person is a fool, that’s his problem.”The Prime Minister said the Police are doing their best to address the issue.
