CANCELLED FLIGHT : PAGO BOUND PASSENGERS WILL MISS SOME FLAG DAY ACTIVITIES

Hawaiian Air cancelled its flight last night, Sunday, much to the dismay of irate passengers, who were advised to retrieve their luggage, at around 9 p.m. In a memo to its passengers and customers, Hawaiian Air said that the flight “returned to Honolulu due to mechanical reasons.” Due to this maintenance issue, it states “several flights will be affected.”

According to the HA memo, dated April 15 (Sunday night), signed by its Pago Station Manager, Judith McCoy, the delay will be for 30-hours and affect their Honolulu/Pago, Pago/Honolulu flight times as follows:
HA 465 will depart from Honolulu at 10:50 p.m., Monday, April 16, and arrive in Pago Pago at 3:30 a.m. on April 17.

HA 466 will depart from Pago Pago at 5:00 a.m. on April 17, and arrive into Honolulu at 11:20 the same day.

Check-in time at the Tafuna International Airport will open at 11:30 p.m. tonight.

The company offers their sincere apologies to their valued customers for the disruption, and will “do everything possible to accommodate” their customers and “mitigate the inconveniences experienced.”

It is unknown at this time if Thursday’s scheduled flight will be affected by the current delay.
