Business Beat: The timing couldn’t be better

Tautua Mo Oe, the ever-expanding powerhouse family of businesses located in Ottoville along the Fagaima road, is happy to announce the second anniversary celebration has rolled around for their hardware division — TMO Hardware — which has a great selection of products for the home builder, contractor, and handyman.

A large selection of Pittsburgh paints (both exterior and exterior), hand and power tools, electrical and plumbing supplies — along with a lawn and garden area catering to farmers, gardeners and flower lovers is available, according to store manager Gisela Sappa, a long time employee of the firm.

In a well-timed coincidence, the 1st TMO Marist Pago 7s Rugby tournament takes place this week — right on time for the anniversary of the family-owned business, and as a treat to TMO customers who come to shop, there will be a chance to meet and greet the athletes.

Putting frosting on the anniversary cake is the fact that this rugby event, a prelude to Flag Day, boasts some VIP guests from the world of rugby — with members of the iconic “Manu Samoa” and “All Blacks” teams visiting at this time — and bringing “Lakapi Fiva” (Rugby Fever) right along with them.

Mark your calendar: Thursday, April 12 — tomorrow — is the big day for TMO Hardware, and they are celebrating with the rugby stars — and a star-studded anniversary sale. The public has been invited to the TMO compound to “meet and greet” these extraordinary athletes who have put Samoa on the map and generated Samoan pride around the world.

The “meet and greet” will run from 10 a.m. till 12 noon, and fans will be able to take pictures, talk story, and get autographs from their favorite players.

As if meeting the rugby heroes wasn’t exciting enough, the anniversary celebration includes a 20% discount on absolutely everything TMO hardware has to offer —”nothing held back!” —according to Sappa, and purchases of $50 and more will receive a free T-shirt for your choice of team autographs. There will also be a drawing to win one of three autographed TMO Marist Pago 7s rugby balls ...and even more prizes.

TMO family of companies is the title sponsor for the upcoming Marist 7s games —billed as an “International Rugby Tournament” which will be held Friday and Saturday, April 13 and 14, at the Veterans Memorial Stadium.

Sappa encourages the public to come out and enjoy the 20% savings at TMO Hardware which is ‘on’ for the whole month of April “as a thank you to the community for the support you have given us since we opened our doors”.

A live radio broadcast will accompany the anniversary celebration.

“It’ll be all TMO — all the time” on Thursday said Sappa. Come on down to TMO Hardware, enjoy the day, and have store employees Fiailoa, Ioana, Steve, or File help you out, or call them for more details on any of the events at 699-9335.

“We believe in our name—Tautua mo oe” said Sappa. “We’re here to serve you!”
