Tonga's Prince ‘Ulukalala engaged

Sydney, New South Wales, Australia: HIS Royal Highness Prince ‘Ulukala (27), the eldest son of the Crown Prince Tupouto’a Lavaka and Crown Princess Nanasipau’u Tuku’aho and second in line to the Tongan throne, had engaged to the Hon. Sinaitakala Fakafanua (25) at an evening ceremony held at the Observatory Hotel on Friday 20th January 2012.The royal engagement was in pursuance to a traditional ritual or Faitohi held on 25th July 2011 at “Siatapu”, Ma’ufanga Nuku’alofa.Hon. Sinaitakala is the only daughter of HRH Princess ‘Ofeina-‘e he-Langi Fakafanua and the late Lord Fakafanua (Tutoatasi). The date of the engagement, 20th January, was designated as it was the birth date of Hon. Sinaitakala’s father, the late Tutoatasi Fakafanua.The event was a joyous occasion for both families, attended by the Crown Prince and Crown Princess, HRH Princess ‘Ofeina-‘e he-Langi Fakafanua, HRH Princess Latufuipeka, HRH Prince Ata, Lord Fakafanua, Hon. Fakaolameilangi Fakafanua, Hon. Tupou ‘Ahome’e Tuita Faupula, Lady Luseane Luani, Rev. Siaosi Palu, Rev. Sione Pinomi, Taufu’i’aevalu Tuita and accompanied by many relatives.
