There is some relief for those who have been experiencing problems with ATM machines. For the past three weekends, Samoa News has experienced first hand the long lines, out-of-service machines, ATMs that are ‘unable to disperse cash at this time’, and the angry local residents who complain about ‘not being able to access my own money’.

The good news is, some new ATM machines for ANZ Amerika Samoa Bank are now up and running, including the one at the LBJ Medical Center, which has been in service for over two weeks now.

Last Tuesday, another new ATM at the ANZ Fagatogo branch went on line, meaning there are now two machines at the bank’s downtown location.

Work is being carried out to fix the ATM machine located at the Laufou Shopping Center while more ATM machines are planned for ANZ’s Tafuna branch.
