The Miss South Pacific 2011-2012, Miss Fiji, Alisi Rabukawaqa was named last night in Apia.  The 24 year old with a Bachelor of Science degree from USP, works as a World Wildlife Fund volunteer.

She posted on the Miss South Pacific website how she views her career future. "I believe that my volunteer work at World Wildlife Fund will ultimately lead me to a career in Environmental Impact Assessment Consultancy.  With a world that is rapidly developing we need to be more vigilant about policy and decision making.  Everyone needs to make informed decisions on issues that impact them.  As Pacific Islanders living off the land and sea, we must be in the forefront of protecting our source of livelihood through sustainable use for the sake of our future generations.
