A 47-year-old man of Leone and Auala in Samoa has been sentenced to three years in jail for causing grievous bodily harm to his seven month old daughter.Supreme Court Judge, Justice Ida Malosi sentenced Ietitaia Tapumanaia on Tuesday.A doctor told the Court that the baby had a lump on her head and other scratches on her body.Tapumanaia was on his knees in the court pleading for forgiveness.He told the Court he had special needs and had an illness that had been with him since childhood.
