Two Paramount Builders’ employees are now certified “ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician- Grade 1”
Two employees of Paramount Builders recently returned to the territory after sitting — and passing — a certification test for the "ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician- Grade 1" in Hawai’i.
Tuali'i Tu'ufa'anatu and Pua Ifopo are two of the eleven local residents, who have attained certification in this specific area. Certification is good for five years.
Additionally, Ifopo, a principal at Manumalo Academy, also received certification as an "ACI Concrete Strength Testing Technician", making her one of seven local residents currently holding certification in this area.
For the certification process, Ifopo said she and Tu'ufa'anatu had to pass a performance test (which requires physical activity), and then a seven-section written test. The performance test is graded on a pass/ fail scale while the written test requires a score of 70 or higher. The pair passed all the requirements.
For the strength testing certification, Ifopo said the requirements were the same, although the written test only consisted of four sections.
