Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — Tualauta faipule-elect, Larry S. Sanitoa has requested the assistance of Papali’i Lauli’i Alofa, owner of Paramount Builders Inc., for help in fixing two side-roads within Ottoville.

In a Nov. 30th letter, Sanitoa explained that he was writing on behalf of Hope House (HH) residents, students and parents of the Montessori schools, the daycare children, parishioners of the Holy Family Parish, and residents in Ottoville.

Sanitoa is seeking Paramount Builders assistance with the two roads that lead  to Hope House, the schools, and the Holy Family Cathedral.

“Huge potholes on the two side roads are in a deplorable state, being unsafe and very dangerous for the traveling motorists and residents,” Sanitoa wrote.

He said it's his understanding that relocation of overhead ASPA power lines to underground conduits within this particular area is a Paramount Builders project.

“Given that, I humbly request, if possible, to include repaving the two side roads and the numerous potholes with asphalt, as a community service for the residents of this area by Paramount Builders,” Sanitoa wrote.

Samoa News notes that several potholes on this stretch are very deep and huge in size, and they've only gotten worse, with the recent heavy rains.

Drivers are having to maneuver their cars, but there is no escape.

In the letter, Sanitoa thanked Papali’i and Paramount Builders for the many completed and ongoing infrastructure and building projects for the government and the people of American Samoa.
