Total cruise ship visits for 2019 going up

Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — American Samoa Visitors Bureau has revised the number of cruise ships visiting the territory this year, by adding another one for next month. The total number of cruise ships now scheduled to call into the Port of Pago Pago is 18.

According to the revised schedule, as of Dec. 31, 2018, the additional cruise ship, the Arcadia — carrying 1904 passengers and 880 crew members — will arrive Feb. 10th at 8a.m from Honolulu and departs at 5p.m for Lautoka, Fiji. There are now two cruise ships set for February. The other one, the Insignia, arrives Feb. 19th.

With the Arcadia added to the revised schedule, 2019 will bring a total of 53,514 passengers and crew members to our shores.

Meanwhile, the first cruise ship of this year, the Crystal Serenity, is arriving Jan. 27th; followed by the Seven Seas Navigator two days later on Jan. 29th.

The AS Visitors Bureau plans to revise and update the cruise ship schedule when and if new information becomes available.
