Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — No arrests have been made in a case involving a shipment of methamphetamine — alleged to weigh over a pound — that was confiscated by the Customs K9 Unit at the Fagatogo Post Office less than a week before Christmas 2018.

A female Customs agent was questioned — but later released — after she allegedly told cops that the package wasn't intended for her but instead, was meant for a friend.

Samoa News understands that the female Customs agent, who will remain unidentified until criminal charges are officially filed, tried to conceal the parcel after she claimed it.

Sources close to the case say all the evidence has been turned over to the Department of Public Safety
