Pacific Horizons School honored some of the individuals who have helped make the school a better place last Thursday at a ribbon cutting ceremony for the school’s new half court.

At the gathering, school director, Caroline Tuiolosega acknowledged Krista and Jason Corry of Tropical Beverage Distributors, Tuna Ventures and Peggy and Vincent Haleck for their generous donations of materials, including the hoop and backboard, and the donation of the labor for this new installation.

Thanks were also extended to Industrial Gases, TMO Hardware, the Manu’a’s Store, RDA Law Firm, Talofa Inc., and Lima Fesoasoani for their contributions towards this cause and their support of the school over the years.

Salani and David Jennings were also recognized for their years of service to the school and for helping with the school’s expansion.

Tuiolosega announced at the school ceremony, "I think we can all learn a lot from the people being honored today. These are the kind of people who see where they can help and then do what they can to make things better. That's what good citizens do. Thanks to each of you being recognized today for making our school a better place."
