Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — Pretrial conference for Manaia Lalokou has been continued to Jan. 16

Lalokou is charged with public peace disturbance and resisting arrest, following an incident that occurred early Christmas morning in Leone, whereby Lalokou allegedly threatened to "jump out of the police unit and commit suicide".

This was after family members contacted police, claiming that an intoxicated Lalokou was shouting profanities inside his home and attempting to throw things around the house.

When he appeared in court earlier this year, Lalokou was released on his own recognizance and ordered to remain sober and maintain peace at home.

Lalokou entered the territory on a 30-day permit and his ID expires on Jan. 16th, the same day he is scheduled to appear in court again.
