Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — Community members will gather for a “May Day” peaceful demonstration/ wave on Friday afternoon, May 1st from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. along the sidewalks of the Airport Park road, across the street from the Oasis Restaurant.

The demonstration is being organized in solidarity with peaceful protests taking place across the United States and serves as a reminder of the core principles our nation was founded on: A democracy that is of, by and for the people.

Participants aim to reaffirm that our system of government rejects rule by tyrants and billionaires and instead centers the voice and power of the people. Organizers emphasize that this will be a peaceful and respectful demonstration, welcoming individuals who wish to stand in unity for democratic values and civic engagement.

Members of the public are invited to join the peaceful demonstration, even just to stop by for a short while. Let’s stand together and exercise our constitutional rights by opposing the illegal and dangerous actions of this Federal Administration and their billionaire cronies
