Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — Effective today, July 11, 2018, Hawaiian Airlines is reverting its flight schedules for Pago Pago arrivals and departures back to night time, which will be on Thursdays and Mondays — the regular twice a week service — and on Tuesdays, the extra summer flight through August.  Night time arrivals are 9:30p.m with a departure two hours later.

Yesterday, Hawaiian operated two flights to and from Pago Pago, the first arriving around 6:30a.m. and departing two hours later and the second one which arrived at 9:30p.m., also with a departure two hours later.

As previously reported by Samoa News, it was in mid April this year that Hawaiian re-timed its flights — arriving and departing Pago Pago during day light hours, because the Instrument Landing System (ILS) was not operational at the Pago Pago International Airport. The airline had planned to run daylight flights through the 27th of this month, when the ILS was to return to service.

However, the US Federal Aviation Administration was able to fix the ILS early and it has been back in operation since last month.
