Hawaiian Airlines adds extra Christmas Holiday Flights
Hawaiian Airlines has confirmed the carrier will operate three extra flights during the Christmas and New Year holidays — as per their usual during the holidays to accommodate the busy travel between Honolulu and Pago Pago.
Hawaiian spokesperson Ann Botticelli told Samoa News yesterday the three extra flights would operate on Wednesdays — Dec. 21 and Dec. 28, 2016 and Jan. 4, 2017. Additionally the extra flights will operate on the same time schedule as the current two weekly flights on Mondays and Fridays.
The airline reminds passengers of its early check in service for the Pago Pago International Airport, from 8a.m. to 4p.m. on flight days.
Meanwhile, Hawaiian, in collaboration with The Walt Disney Studios, last Saturday showcased the first of three custom Airbus A330 aircraft being adorned with imagery from the highly anticipated, CG-animated comedy adventure “Moana.”
The inaugural decal design features four characters from the movie on Hawaiian’s fuselage as they take off on a way-finding journey, including the demigod Maui, the adventurous teenager Moana, and her two friends: Heihei the rooster and Pua the pig.
Auli‘i Cravalho, the Hawaiʻi-born actress who is the voice of Disney’s “Moana,” and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, the voice of demigod Maui, were among the first to see the inspiring new design.
The planes will fly on Hawaiian’s regularly scheduled U.S. domestic routes as well as to international destinations including Brisbane and Sydney, Australia; Osaka and Tokyo, Japan; and Auckland, New Zealand through March of 2017.
