Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — The Hawaii Job Corps Centers on Maui and Oahu are actively soliciting applications for career and technical training programs for young adults 18-24 years of age from American Samoa.

Hawaii Job Corps representatives will be on island March 27th- April 9th promoting their Career & Technical training programs.

In -person interviews and information briefings will be held at the Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA) office located at the Department of Human Resources in the Pava’ia’i, Haleck Office bldg., April 6th- April 9th between 9am- 3pm.

Job Corps is the nation’s premier residential career training program, providing no cost vocational training to low- income young people.

Career pathways include Hotel & Lodging, Security & Protective Services, Building & Construction Technologies, Painting, Office Administration, Culinary Arts, Automotive, Landscaping, and health care. Graduates leave with industry recognized certifications that lead to good paying job. They receive safe on campus, meals, transportation, and support services.

Job Corps is a federally program funded by U.S. Department of Labor. It operates under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). Hawaii Job Corps has been preparing young adults for the workplace since its inception in 1965 and is in the top ranking nationally for performance.
