Pago Pago, AMERICAN SAMOA — The Fono Fautasi crew, just before heading out for rowing practice this past Wednesday evening.

The 30+ young and new faces are from various villages around the territory, and they will be led by House Speaker Savali Talavou Ale, who will join the team for the first time today.

Fautasi Fiva is proudly presented by Congresswoman Aumua Amata.

The Fono crew started training for the first time this week, and they are still trying to get their pace and momentum for tomorrow's race.

Compared to most fautasi competitors, about 90-percent of the Fono crew members are brand new to the world of Fautasi racing.
